First and foremost, i want to thank Lilin, e-marketer of Purple Sage for inviting me to this blogger's food tasting event.
It was a well conceptualised and executed event, in my opinion. The idea of engaging bloggers reflects a paradigm shift in doing business and how marketing is being done. Though the 6 course meal scored highly on its taste and presentation, i want to comment instead on Purple Sage's attention to details - & how focused they are in building a seamless and consistent brand promise.
Catering business, to some is a sunset industry. The competition is keen and product and services' differentiation can only be made possible through continuous menu innovation, customer service and interesting business concepts to engage its stakeholders. Purple Sage has shown that they are able to differentiate itself - not just on the core product offering (which is the food) but more importantly, the ability to constantly engage, satisfy and exceed the expectations of their customers.
The recent shift to engage the online sphere reflects the increasing interest and focus for businesses to change their media strategy. The online realm has now turned to a more reliable platform for businesses to invest and cultivate. Marketers are also confident to know that the online community is not filled with some pseudo & anonymous characters, but real customers who are ready to be engaged.
All in all - a good and pleasurable experience. The company, food, wine and business networking - what a way to end my thursday's evening!
