I organized a food tasting session tonight for Tang HK Gourmet located at 116 Neil Road. 8 bloggers together with the co-founder of Hungrygowhere.com Hoong An had a taste of delectable treats of chinese cuisine specially prepared by celebrity chef Benson Tong. The highlight of the night, apart from Bloggers catching up and sharing their experience and journey in blogging, was Hoong An's personal sharing of the acquisition of Hungrygowhere.com by Singtel. I took the opportunity to ask him matters relating to acquisition and remuneration matters. The humble and down-to-earth technopreneur highlighted that the road hasn't been smooth. he is still adjusting to the changes in corporate culture and obviously the need to dress more formally. Recounting an incident, Hoong an said he once wore casuals to work and bumped into a senior chap who exclaimed 'are you ok?' we all burst into laughers after hearing that.
The night ended with bloggers exchanging personal and social media contacts.
