Keep Calm and Project Love

Keep Calm and Project Love 2012

I recently led a team of some 23 students to an overseas community trip in Siem Reap Cambodia. The seven day six night trip was an inspiring, fruitful and yet tiring one. Students get to take on leadership positions, as they understand more about servant leadership and serving the wider community. Throughout the journey, students built a soccer court, volleyball court, painted the school and even built a hopscotch. Cool, issn't it?

The highlight of the event was really meeting the kids of prolit primary school. Their faces of joy upon seeing us really lighted our spirit and enthusiasm, and often even the tiredness we get from traveling.

This was my inaugural trip and I must say i am thankful for this opportunity.

One memorable comment made by Daniel Fung, a participant of this trip was, 'Even if we managed to build the hardwares for the trip, like painting houses and all, what really stays with them, which is of eternal value are the many touches and moments we have with the students'.

I thought that was very well put together. Keeping calm is integral to everyone's approach in handling matters. Project Love, spreading our love is integral to everyone's heart and soul.

So just let's keep spreading the love.
